Bob Gilead wanted to send his Marine daughter a special gift for her first Christmas away from home. He enlisted a local seamstress to sew a traditional Christmas stocking from a Marine camouflage shirt, and he filled it with gifts.
That first Camosock was a hit. Bob's delighted daughter was the envy of her unit -- every one of her friends wanted a Camosock.
Soon Bob was encouraged by military friends, family and co-workers to make his stockings available to others who wanted a special gift to honor their loved one's service. Everyone wanted a Christmas Camosock for a friend, spouse, son or daughter in the military.
That was five years ago, and Bob has never looked back. A business was born.
