History

Bradeis University is recognized as the only Jewish non-sectarian college or university in the United States. Located in Waltham, Massachusetts, since it was founded in 1948, Brandeis University has continued to keep the Jewish Religion as a very important part of the campus life and the curriculums it offers, yet allowing the staff and students the freedom to engage in the Religious beliefs of their choice. The university firmly believes that social justice starts with allowing individuals the right to pursue their diversity and express their personal freedom by having equal opportunities available to them.

Each of the programs offered provides a solid foundation for the students to be ready to face the challenges and changes that take place in our society, as well as taking an interest in making the world a better place for everyone.

The programs offered at Brandeis University allow students the opportunity to excel in the areas of the Arts, Humanities, Social Science, and Physical Science. Both Undergraduate and Graduate programs are offered as well as summer programs. The school features five great sectors including The College of Arts and Sciences, The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, The Heller School for Social Policy and Management, the Rabb School of Summer and Continuing Studies, and The Brandeis International Business School.

Overall, Brandies University ranks 31st in the Nation, but this combined with their dedication to the quality of student life makes them a very popular choice for many students. The application process is very selective and it is based on a combination of factors including academic success, a willingness to learn, personal views, and diversity in regards to education and investing in the well being of society as a whole.

Student Body

There are more than 5,000 students enrolled at Brandeis University. The Division of Student Affairs works hard to ensure the basic needs of every student are met. They also work to provide quality organizations and health related services for students to take part in. The school does not allow fraternities or sororities to be formed as they want students to all be able to be part of what is taking place on campus. Brandeis University offers one of the most active student government organizations in the Nation.
