Bokrosh Glass Repair Studio works only in glass, offering more experience and focused skills than repair shops which work on many different media. With over 34 years of experience in creation, restoration and repair of glass art, Michael has acquired the skills required to accommodate all requests put forward by collectors of all fine art glass.
About Michael Bokrosh
Michael grew up in a glass family, and began working at Zeno Glass in Mankato, Minnesota under his father’s tutelage. He showed an aptitude for glass art and was apprenticed at the age of 14. When he was 22 he left for Oregon for further study in glass at the Glass Craft Studio. His talents and passion eventually took him to Europe, to study at the Brusinia Stakla factory in Pula, Yugoslavia and then at the prestigious Orrefors Glass school of Sweden.
Michael specializes in glass cutting, lead crystal cutting and engraving, and his current focus is Glass Sculpture as well as Glass Repair. He has had over 20 apprentices from around the world including Europe, Australia, Africa and Canada. Although trained in arts with both hot and cold glass, Bokrosh has concentrated on working in cold glass since 1985.
Glass Repair and Restoration

Although his first love is creating art, Bokrosh is highly skilled at glass repair and restoration. He is able to repair damaged Waterford crystal, Steuben crystal, Venetian Murano glass, Lalique glass, Orrefors/Kosta Boda crystal, Hoya crystal, antique crystal glass, antique pressed glassware, and architectural glass. Bokrosh also specializes in Murano glass repair. Even severely broken glass can often be repaired so skillfully that the repair is hardly discernible, though Bokrosh does suggest contacting the original artist for permission if at all possible. He always communicates frequently with the client to ensure satisfaction in such a delicate undertaking as art glass repair.
Solid Optic Crystal Baseball Bat™
Michael’s has specialized in sculpting Optical glass for 24 years, since 1985 when it became a new medium for his creative talents. His unique sculptures are all created with optical glass, which is known for its clarity and brilliance. One of his most famous art works is the hand-turning of the Crystal Baseball bat from optical crystal, a most difficult skill. The Crystal Baseball bat can be custom fashioned and engraved, reminiscent of any bat the discriminating collector may desire. The Premium Crystal Baseball bat can have a custom 3-D image laser-engraved on the inside of the barrel of the bat. This can be any image: perhaps a baseball, glove, or your favorite player.
