Description
Yes, I am a country girl at heart with an appreciation for the simpler ways of life. I was raised in rural Illinois, often with a bevy of animals in the backyard. I grew up attempting various fiber arts (embroidery, knitting, crochet, yes--even latch hook!) but never found my creative home until I found rug hooking. The first time I saw it, I immediately understood the depth of creativity possible with this age-old art. I felt like I had finally found something that I had been looking for all of my life.
I am married to a wonderful man who keeps me sane and humors me (well, most of the time), but most importantly he supports me in my creative endeavors. I am a stay-at-home-mom. We recently had our first child, Harry, who is a great joy and is keeping me super-busy!
We also have two dogs--a bossy Pekingese named Trixie and a super-sweet shih tzu named Groucho. They keep us pretty entertained! My other interests include gardening, reading historical novels (especially medieval), cooking and working on our fixer-upper, but I mostly don't have time for these interests anymore!
