Gail Lewis owns LewisLetter LLC, which produces, operates and controls the Airline Security Insider. Gail graduated with a degree in Aviation Commerce and Technology from the Florida Institute of Technology and holds an FAA commercial pilot certificate with instrument and multi-engine ratings. During her career with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association she served as Vice President of Airport and Regional Affairs. She specialized in policy development for enhanced airport security both nationally and internationally.
ASI President and Editor Scott Lewis received a degree in chemistry from the State University of NY at Fredonia. He has flown tube-and-fabric tailwheel single-engine airplanes and as Captain on the Boeing 737, 727, 757/767 and Airbus 320 airliners, domestically and on international routes to the Caribbean, Latin America and Europe. Shortly after 9/11 Scott co-founded an airline security advocacy group, which did much of the lobbying for the FFDO (armed pilot) program. He is now working on a manuscript about airline and national security, arming pilots and our constitutional rights. He recently earned a third-degree black belt in Kreimer's Karate. He and his wife and two children enjoy snow and water skiing.
Kelly Schultz, our Vice President of Government Affairs and Government Affairs Editor, studies and walks the political beat full time. Recently, she authored a policy paper for a government agency. Kelly will graduate with a bachelor's degree in political science in the spring of 2006. Besides writing and researching topics for ASI, she has worked with local candidates on political campaigns and has worked with a state agency through an extensive fellowship program. She is married and raising two children and enjoys watching them play sports, hiking, reading, watching old movies and gardening.
