- About us - Who are CHAIN?
- CHAIN are the Cheshire Anti Incinerator Network and are an independent, apolitical group set up specifically to oppose the building of Incinerators anywhere in Cheshire.
- Although initially formed to oppose the plans to build an incinerator on the Griffiths Road site in Lostock Gralam near Northwich, the group quickly recognised that no matter where an incinerator was built in Cheshire it would have a profound and long lasting impact on all of our lives. The decision was taken therefore to make a stand against the building of ANY incinerator anywhere in Cheshire.
- We are not a NIMBY (Not In MY Back Yard) group and with the right backing we would be happy to fight against any incinerator plans anywhere in the Country, however as we are funded through voluntary contributions and some small donations from locally affected Parish Councils we have to focus our resources where we can make the most impact.
