History
Acrossad.com was inspired by insights that I had while taking a calculus course. I thought that it would be interesting to create an advertising website where the price for advertising would rise exponentially as the ad space was used up. I at down and came up with a simple equation to decribe this exponential increase and Acrossad was born.
Building Acrossad
Acrosssad was built using OpenOffice.org Calc, Gnumeric, and Kompozer. The master file is maintained in Gnumeric format. As more ad space is purchased, I update the master file. The master file automatically calculates the ad space taken, the ad spaces remaining, and the price per ad block. Once the master file is updated, I export it to html format, and upload it to the Acrossad.com server.

Acrossad features news, articles, wiki pages, and Joomla! The wiki is an educational wiki that allows college students to upload information to the site as they study for their classes.
