Software Engineering Process Technology Company, (SEPT) is a firm specializing in meeting the software standards information needs of the professional community, particularly concerning ISO/IEC 12207. SEPT was founded in 1992 by Stan Magee CCP, the principal and president. SEPT provides standards information via books, checklists, reports, and consulting. Mr. Magee was one of the principal US delegates in the development of ISO/IEC 12207 over the 6 years of its development. Mr. Magee signed off the final draft of ISO/IEC 12207 for the US in Rome, Italy in November 1994. For his diligent work on ISO/IEC 12207, Mr. Magee received an ISO/SC 7 award. Mr. Magee is past (1991-2002) conven e r of WG 7 (Life Cycle Management) for ISO/IEC JTC1 SC 7 (Systems and Software Engineering) standards group. He has been a U.S. delegate to the International Plenary meetings since 1986. In 1995 he was elected to the IEEE Computer Society Golden Core of 500 people who have significantly served the IEEE Society in standards development over its 50 year history.
